Add Video to Your Press Releases

Joan StewartIn installment 61 of her online course, “89 Ways to Write Powerful Press Releases“; the Publicity Hound, Joan Stewart talks about adding interest to press releases by including video.  In case you are not courting the press using press releases and related media attention grabbers, you are missing out on one of the most powerful ways of driving valuable traffic to your business.  Joan is about the best PR resource I have found to date.

Below are examples of videos I recently used in press releases:

  1. Excelsior Club Video:  Click Here
  2. Chamber Entrepreneurs Forum:  Click Here

  1. Joan Stewart, The Publicity Hound Says:

You’re so right. Video is really hot right now and it will be getting hotter in 2007. Some ways to use video in press releases:

–To demonstrate your product or service.

–To show an interview with your CEO.

–To capture a visually appealing scene and embed the link within your press release.

–If you’re a speaker, give meeting planners a taste of what they’ll see when they hire you.

–If you’re an author, you can have a clip of you reading a chapter from your book. An author I know does this and markets the video as bedtime stories for kids.

I’m sure good Publicity Hounds can think of all kinds of other ways.
